Suggestions Needed Please!

This is the view from my front door looking into my living room and dining room. I added this after I did the pictures below and I don't know how to put it below the other pic's.
I don't like to show pictures of my living room because it just never seems to come together right for me. So I move my huge t.v. cabinet from the wall it's on now to the opposite wall where my fireplace is all the time, these are the only 2 walls that I have in this room. I never like it. I have this massive wall of windows that always seem cold to me. So I need help, does anyone see something that I could do differently in this room, to cozy it up? Should I just get rid of it all and start over? HELP.

Jeff made my fireplace mantel for me and how do you like my fake fire in it, it is also a heater.

This is the dresser I have next to my fireplace, the picture I got at a yardsale for a $1.00, thought it was a good pic for Fall.

This is the shelf above my t.v.

Oh Kelly, lol!! I am not going to be any help to you. Why? Because I LOVE your living room as it is in the first picture! i think it looks gorgeous! I love the wall of windows. I love the fireplace and OH those pink chairs!! I want them! I think you have one of the most beautiful homes I have seen. I love your style and the way your home is decorated is just perfect in my opinion :)

Hi Kelly,
I also love your living room. You did a great job making look so cozy....I'm a real lace person so maybe put some lace on your wall of windows.... it might soften it up a bit....but other than that...."change nothing"....it's beautiful.....love your blog
Hugs,
Mo :-)

I think it looks great. I think it's really well balanced with the tv on one side and the fireplace on the other. It looks beautiful, just your dining room does!

I'm glad to see another blogger asking for advice. When I did this earlier this week, someone left me a comment asking why I do that on my blog and suggested I did it for more comments. She doesn't understand that it's just like asking your friend's advice. We are all friends with the same love of decorating and we value each other's opinions!

Oops..I meant to say "just as your dining room does"

Hi Kell,
It was wonderful to talk to you on the phone today, live in person.
We definitely are sisters separated at birth....LOL. Let me know if you get the wallpaper figured out and also if you like the couch angled.

Hugs,
LeAnn:)

Sweet chick, I see nothing wrong with that room. It's adorable. The suggestion of lace on the windows might help you with your dilemma and the privacy issue if that IS an issue with you.

Did you know you've inspired me to "frou frou" up hub's new camper trailer???? Yep, check out my post tomorrow for the fabric I picked out, sweetpea. I love your trailer but ours is a popup one.

Smooches,
Connie

I think your room is quite pretty, the only thing I can think to ask is.... have you ever thought about having a bigger couch and less chairs? By the way, I love that window... its beautiful!

I love your living room. You are lucky. You are lucky as I am to have a hubby that is handy. My hubby says I get the ideas and he does all the work. Sounds okay to me, doesn't it to you?

Your living room looks great the way it is. I think adding some white sheers and taking down the balloon valance will warm it up for the fall. The windows are too open and thats probably why it feels cold to you. I love visiting your blogs, one of my faves.

You do have a great room and I especially love the wood floors. You mentioned "warming it up", so my instant thought is a large area rug. You would need a size that connects all the furniture (8x10 I would guess). I think this would help make the room feel more cozy.

I think your living room is beautiful! Even your wall of windows LOL I miss having so many windows in my living room and all the natural light it brings into the room. You're lucky to have them.

The only thing I can think of to change may be to take down the valance and add some sheers or lace panels to the windows. My neighbor has lace cafe curtains on her wall of windows & it looks really cute. Just a thought :-)

Your pink rockers are adorable. Did you make slipcovers for them?

I just love your living room. I was thinking as I was looking at your picture ..How beautiful. That everything looked PERFECT. I wouldn't mind your living room in my home. LOL. And the windows don't look cold but look happy with lots of sunshine. Those are things to make the garden seem like it inside. Wendy

You have a gorgeous living room. I just love it. I just want to curl up with a book in there. :) I can't offer advice on what to do since I think it is lovely!

But I know what you mean - I think we look at our things everyday and often things are not like we want them to be. But others are not quite as critical as we are.

Oh just let a bunch of girls spend your money.lol I always like it when someone asks me for my opinion and then takes me shopping with them and they buy pretty things and then we take it back to the house and play. Lace curtain or sheers, a rug, etc... Those are good ideas even tho your room is beautiful without them
But you can always try the lace under the valances. I actually like the valance but the lace or sheer may stop your eye from traveling outside your lovely home. The rug idea is a good one too. So when are we going shopping? lol
Use that pretty little noggin of yours. You have perfect ideas.

The fireplace looks gorgeous Kelly!! Hmmm, I love all the pieces in the living though, they are stunning! It might be sectioned off a bit ( in a good way ) if you had the sofa facing the window. It might not be long enough though, but if it is, you can put a sofa table behind it to help make the living room more "definite".. The two chairs might look great in front of the window with one table between them too ;) that would be one way to do it Kelly. Plus its fun to move around furniture ;) I LOVE the tv cabinet there, perfect!! xox

I think you need a different look on the windows, like full lace or sheers OR remove that somewhat formal valance and add a lace valance and hang some plants. Plants/greenery always soften and warm up windows.

I see what you are saying about your living room...have you thought of not having it all pushed into that corner, maybe move your furniture arrangement out a little?
The wall unit must stay against a wall, but the rest could be pulled out. If you could send me a floor plan I could show you what I mean. Also, I love your pink chairs, but they are a bit much to look at from the back...you look over into your living room and all you see are the backs of those chairs, they distract from looking at the rest of the room. I think they need to be broken up, placed apart and singly from each other, with their backs facing a wall or corner that is not the view from the rest of the house.

Hope this helps a little, you have really pretty stuff, sometimes it just takes time to get it all where it needs to be to show it to it's best!
