Sneak Peek!

I took another pic today of my dresser with the flowers opened up, I guess they didn't die they just close up at night, thank goodness, the pic below I took later in the evening. Have a great Sunday ladies!
Oops I did my pic's in the wrong order. Anyway I started my garden dresser project. I painted it white and added some draught tolerant ferns and decided to plant dishes with flowers on them instead of flowers! Not really but I think I'm the only person who could plant a flower and in the same day it dies, I hope the flowers I planted in here just close up at night or I'm going to be very upset): The picture up above is how I did the plates, I saw this on http://vintagerosecollection.blogspot.com/ JoAnne also put these in her garden and I thought it was so cute, thanks for sharing JoÃnne. I just hot glued an old fork to the back of a dish and then put the prongs into the dirt , you can also write little sayings on the dishes to. Well thats all for now other than did you see we are probably going to have a hurricane here in S. FL. wouldn't you figure I finally get out there to work in my little garden and now I'll have to drag it all back in! Hopefully we just get lots of rain. Thanks for stopping by and I'll post more as soon as I get more done. (;

Oh and I almost forgot about my bunny I added to the drawer but he'll go back to his other house in my yard when I find a rooster to put in here for fall, but the one I saw today that I liked was $30.00 and that is just to much, so I'll wait a little while and see what else I can find.

Hi Kelly, I sure hope you don't get any hurricanes!!! I've not been thru any yet since I've been here and DONT want to!
Your dresser looks adorable, but aren't you afraid with the rain all the time it will damage it? Looks great tho....love the fork on the plate...I can't keep flowers alive either. I went into Lakeland today and bought a dozen "wooden" roses!!!! those should be safe with me I hope, unless the kitties decide to try to eat them!!! lol.
Be safe!

Hi Jackie,
I got this dresser out of the garbage anyways and it had already been in the rain, I hope that it will survive for a while anyways??! Now about that hurricane it's predicted right now to head up the west coast, that's towards you, were suppose to be on the bad side of the storm though, but they really don't know yet. It's only a cat 1 so we probably will only get alot of rain and I will be bringing my dresser in for that, I'll put it in the garage.

Thanks for stopping by my daughters blog and leaving a comment...she will enjoy that..I know she visits you often. I am just hoping she will comment and not be so shy. I told her that is the only way to become a true blogger.

Hi Kelly,
I love the plates and the look of your dresser! I sure hope this hurricane fizzles. I hate to think of dragging everything inside. It never fails that a family of geckos and all their kin come to weather the storm inside with us as well.
Stay safe.

It looks so pretty. You got that done fast. My son is in Florida until Tuesday and I am worried about the hurricane that is coming. He is at Disney World. What are you hearing about the hurricane where you are at?

Hugs,
LeAnn:)
P.S. I got the cream pumpkin at TJ.

I LOVE that! I can't wait til we get our back porch built so I can put something like that out there. Thanks for sharing! Oh, and I see that you answered my question about the rain. Guess that's why I'm wanting to put mine on a covered porch.

I saw your comment on another blog, and had to stop by to visit another "rose cottage." Yours is just lovely!

Very cute garden dresser! I've been wanting to do something like that. Do you have to drill holes in the drawers? Great project!
